Scandal premieres tonight and like millions of other viewers, I'll be sitting at home at 10:00 pm (EST) glued to ABC.  I'll have my favorite glass of Riesling, and my phone will be close by for hilarious text commentary with friends during the commercial breaks.  Great times, man.  Great times. :)

What can I say, I love Scandal!  And I love the character, Olivia Pope.  Key word: character.  I know she's not real, but Shonda Rhimes and Kerry Washington have given her life.  Olivia is a smart, scandalous, unethical woman who is impeccably dressed with stilettos on deck with every outfit.  She's known for a lot of things (LOTS), especially her unforgettable quotes:

Tie Tuesday (Arsenio Hall)

He's baaaaaaaaaccckkkk!  After a 19-year hiatus, Arsenio Hall stepped back on the scene last week with his new late night syndicated talk show.  

Calling it his "Back Is Beautiful" campaign, Arsenio hasn't missed a beat!  He's still engaging, silly, comfortable and extremely relatable on camera.  In its first week back, The Arsenio Hall Show featured several A-List guests including Magic Johnson, Angela Bassett, Lisa Kudrow, Chris Tucker, Mark Harmon and Ice Cube. 

A LOT of people have TV talk shows.  Some of them are good, but most of them aren't.  And none of them are "Arsenio Hall."  He's really one of a kind.  His does things his way.  And even almost 20 years later....it works. 

Tie Tuesday (Robert De Niro)

One of the greatest artists of our time.  Love, love, love him!  He's been acting since he was 20 years old and he just keeps getting better with time.  His catalog of work is extensive and super impressive.  

If I had to choose my favorite Robert De Niro film, I couldn't do it.  I mean.  I just....everything he's done has been stellar!  Raging Bull??  The Godfather Part II??  Cape Fear??   Casino??  Silver Linings Playbook??  Just amazing!   And did you know he directed A Bronx Tale and The Good Shepherd? 

Robert De Niro is so dope, he makes me want to be a better writer!
